In Mar 2023, we successfully manufactured, installed and pressure test a 30 meter fire water pipeline for ArcelorMittal South Africa (AMSA). The pipeline was installed at the Saldanha Works business unit of AMSA. Saldanha Works is since 2019 under care maintenance and we successfully bid to do the installation of the pipeline.
One of AR Jones Engineering’s key services offering is maintenance and repair of industrial equipment with a team of qualified welders. We have welding procedures for carbon steel as well as stainless-steel material based on ASME IX standards. The welders were all qualified on these welding procedures to ensure the quality of the weld is of a high standard.
We ensure the quality of our projects by using a quality control plan (QCP) as per ISO 9001:2015. The QCP cover all the important steps and includes the following: Material certificates, welding consumable certificates, welding procedures, welders qualifications certificates, NDT procedures, NDT testing of welds, pressure testing of the systems, painting specifications just to name a few. During this plan there is regular inspections by the clients to ensure all steps are executed correctly.
Bossie Boshoff was the project manager for AMSA and we can confirm that he was very happy with the out come of the project, which was on time as well as correct quality.
