In November 2018, we were awarded a three-year contract by ArcelorMittal South Africa to maintain their rolling segments; rolling segments are a critical component of the steel rolling process and are used to reduce the thickness of the metal and to ensure its uniformity.
We have deployed a team of twenty specialists on site at ArcelorMittal. The team is made up of electricians, fitters and welders who all work together to ensure that the segments are maintained and repaired with limited impact on the overall steel manufacturing process.
This project fits perfectly into one of our core services offerings; namely the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty industrial equipment. Our team’s technical knowledge and in-house experience allows us to seamlessly work with ArcelorMittal in meeting their maintenance and repair requirements. It’s an exciting project for our team to work on as it draws on all their skills and they get the opportunity to work collaboratively to ensure that all repairs are high quality and undertaken in a reasonable timeframe.
